Road Improvements

The Castle Valley development includes the construction of a roundabout at Lagae Road and Mira Vista Lane (summer 2016). Mira Vista Lane was widened to three lanes to provide better access to American Academy School and Elk Ridge Park in summer 2016. Monarch Boulevard will be extended to connect to the new Lagae Road (est. winter 2017). Access to Gate 5 at Castle Pines Village will be provided along a newly constructed road to intersect with Lagae Road (continuous access provided).

Castle Valley (Lagae Ranch) was included when the City of Castle Pines was incorporated in 2008. The first development occurred with the construction of the American Academy Charter School, which opened its doors to students in the fall of 2009. Two years after completion of the school, Elk Ridge Park had its grand opening September 17, 2011. Elk Ridge Park is Castle Pines’ newest and most spectacular public park. It is one of a kind, offering visitors 360-degree views of the Colorado plains, foothills and the Rocky Mountains. Green hillsides, native trees and shrubs, climbing boulders and an ADA accessible trail network all reflect the Colorado lifestyle. The park covers 12 acres of diverse recreational space and is home to many large community events.
