Street maintenance and operations
Castle Pines North is responsible for more than 88 lane miles of roadway, including maintenance and repair; snow and ice control; traffic control (signing, striping and signal maintenance); street sweeping; street lighting; concrete repair; roadway failure repairs (small- to medium-sized problems such as potholes, cracks, sinking pavement, utility patches and the like).
The City also continuously inspects the roads in an effort to remove street hazards and improve the pavement lifespan.
Snow and ice management
In the event of major snow accumulation, Public Works crews plow the roadways, including all public streets. Arterial and major collector streets are first priority, and residential streets are secondary. Due to our unique location, Castle Pines North can receive more than 100 inches or snow during the snow season, between September and April.
Neighborhood homeowner associations are responsible for clearing their respective properties.
Street sweeping
Street sweeping is performed in the spring and fall. Public Works will post signs around neighborhoods where sweeping will be performed and request the cooperation of citizens by not parking on the streets during the anticipated sweep times.
Pot hole repair
The Public Works Dept. manages the routine repair of potholes and road cracks and responds to requests for repairs made by citizens.
To report a pothole, please fill out our online report form our call 303.705.0200.
