CASTLE PINES NORTH, Colo., March 15, 2010 — The Castle Pines North City Council and Castle Pines North Metro District Board of Directors will hold a joint meeting on Tuesday, March 16 at 5 p.m. to discuss a cooperative integration of the two entities.

The meeting, which is open to the public, takes place at the Castle Pines North CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Dr.

City officials for some time have been requesting an opportunity for the two bodies to discuss a cooperative path for integrating the district into city operations. This integration, which studies indicate can result in reduced costs and increased efficiencies, benefitting both residents and businesses, was a primary tenet behind the city’s incorporation.

Incorporated Feb. 12, 2008, Castle Pines North is a city of about 10,000 located 20 miles south of Denver in Douglas County.
