Retail Analysis and Recruiting
Retail recruitment and retention are part of the City’s overall economic development strategy. Through an agreement with Buxton Company, the City is gathering data, creating marketing materials, and developing connections necessary to successfully building a strong retail environment.
Overall, the population of Castle Pines’ retail market area, or the area within a 12-minute drive time to Castle Pines, is 27,000. The area also experiences significant leakage rates, meaning the majority of purchases by Castle Pines residents are made outside the city limits. These two factors combine to create retail opportunity.
